Wilmington Downtown, Inc. (WDI) is now accepting applications from local charities for the 2012 Downtown Sundown Concert Series wristband program. The pilot program, launched last summer, raised more than $8,500 for various organizations in Wilmington.
The Downtown Sundown Concert Series will take place each Friday night from May 4 to August 31, 2012. WDI will sell wristbands for $1.00 per person at each concert, and split the proceeds with local charities and nonprofit organizations each week up to $1,000. Each organization agrees to provide four volunteers at the concert on the date selected. All applications are due by Friday, April 13 and are subject to approval by the Downtown Sundown Committee.
